Reports To : General Manager

Classification : Exempt

Pay Grade: Salary

Location : Palm Beach, Florida

*Must have Hotel / Resort IT experience.

Job Overview

The Manager of IT is responsible for overseeing and managing the hotel's information technology infrastructure, ensuring the smooth and secure operation of IT systems, networks, and applications. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and collaboration with other departments to align IT initiatives with the hotel's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

IT Strategy and Planning

Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with the hotel's business goals.

Plan and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and investments.

Identify opportunities for technology to enhance guest experience and operational efficiency.

IT Infrastructure Management

Oversee the installation, maintenance, and security of the hotel's IT systems, including servers, networks, and software.

Ensure reliable and high-performance operation of IT systems, minimizing downtime and disruptions.

Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effective IT services.

Cybersecurity and Data Protection

Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect the hotel's data and IT infrastructure.

Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Project Management

Lead IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget.

Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide effective solutions.

Team Leadership and Development

Manage and mentor the IT team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the IT department.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting

Oversee the IT support function, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues.

Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Planning and coordination of all IT projects, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades

Guest and Staff Technology Services

Ensure high-quality technology services for guests, including Wi-Fi, in-room entertainment, and business center support.

Support staff with the necessary technology tools and training to enhance productivity and service delivery.

Provisioning of user roles, rights, and access to business applications

IT Equipment

Ensure compliance with all Corporate Policy & Procedures and legal requirements related to Hardware & software installation, use and licensing agreements.

Engage vendors and IT Teams to identify, diagnose, and resolve all business systems incidents and problems.

Develop and maintain relationships with technical vendors, 3rd party business partners, and service providers. Ensure service providers perform to contractual SLAs and service obligations.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Hotel/Resorts IT management required with knowledge of the following:

Knowledge of Desktop Hardware and Software Installation and Configuration

Knowledge of Networking systems to include hubs, switches, DHCP and DNS.

Knowledge of PMS and related interfaces (Opera Cloud)

Knowledge of Retail and F&B POS Systems (Symphony)
